Buy or Sell Raffle Tickets!

Last year our First Place Raffle Ticket Seller was Mighty Clean Laundry and Cleaners with Janet and Kyle Wilson and employees selling enthusiastically to all their customers! Second Place went to Felcman's Men's and Ladies' Shop and Dry Cleaners, where Juliana Gilmore had the brilliant idea of challenging Mighty Clean to a friendly competition of who could sell the most raffle tickets. We are grateful she did! Kolache Depot Bakery, owned by Sally and Greg McElroy, came in Third Place. The EHS Student Council, EHS National Honor Society, other EISD students and Raymond Caldwell helped sell A LOT of raffle tickets at football games and Fall Festival downtown. A total of 2,000 raffle tickets were sold last year.

OUR GOAL THIS YEAR: SELL 5,000 RAFFLE TICKETS! We need participants to help! Individuals, businesses, clubs, classes, organizations and any group of enthusiasts are welcomed! Please help us help Ennis continue the holiday lighting by selling or buying "Lights of Ennis" Raffle Tickets. Think about it: that's just 50 businesses, clubs and/or individuals selling 100 Raffle Tickets each or it's 100 businesses, individuals and/or clubs selling just 50 Raffle Tickets each. We're a city of 18,000 plus people. This shouldn't be hard to do with a little enthusiasm!

Here's why you should be enthusiastic! The Raffle Tickets are $5.00 each or five (5) tickets for $20.00. Already, we have OVER 100 UNIQUE RAFFLE ITEMS with more coming in daily! Your odds for winning are great! Plus, if you sell or buy only 25 Raffle Tickets, automatically your name goes on the Guest List for FREE admission to "D' Lights of Ennis Raffle Gala" on Saturday night, Sept. 24th indoors and out at the historic Raphael House and includes Dinner, Drinks, DJ's, Dance Floor and Drawings of Raffle Winners!

Three local banks and two local businesses have graciously volunteered to be the Raffle Ticket distribution centers. On August 12th Raffle Tickets will be available in bulk for signing-out with the goal of selling or buying at: Ennis State Bank, Prosperity Bank, GNB, Kolache Depot Bakery and Sears. Other businesses, merchants, clubs and groups, as well as individuals, can sign for tickets to sell throughout the community and all Ennisites can purchase Raffle Tickets for themselves at these locations. Drawings will take place Sat., Sept. 24th. (Need not be present to win) Winner's names will be matched to the numbered items in the order they are drawn. Results will be posted Tues., Sept. 27th on our website, in the Ennis Daily News and at the five locations mentioned above. Absentee winners can remove their prizes from Ennis State Bank after Sept. 28th with proper identification.
